Oops, sorry. The TR-3 doesn't have K2. The function is handled by switch S2, the FUNCTION switch.
If you have a counter, the 9.0 MHz crystal Carrier Oscillator should shift up by approximately 1
kHz when you switch from SSB to X-CW. If you do not have a counter, listen on an external general
coverage receiver.
Also, the SIDEBAND switch must be in the -X position.

Good morning everyone:
I stayed up last night and did the resistance checks.
Found one tube (V17 - 6AQ5) which when checking it you could
warble the tube and the measurements would change drastically.
So I had another and changed it and now it is much more stable.
Thought I had found the problem and tried again to no avail.
So I took it apart again and cleaned the relay contacts. It
seems to be rx'ing better, but still wont transmit anything.
I am planning on doing voltage measurements today sometime,
unless anyone has another idea.
It is such a laborious task I am open to another suggestion Hi Hi
