Does anyone know is it normal for a Drake TR-3 to go into USB when switched to 40 meters.
All of the other sidebands are correct except for 40 meters and I have to put the SIDEBAND SW into X in order to copy LSB on 40 meters, otherwise it goes to USB and is just garbled rx. But putting it in X makes for a much narrower bandwidth and the audio is distorted sounding although readable.
