AFAIK, Gentoo and Debian share the same roots, as Gentoo was founded by
people coming from Debian I think...

I guess releasing too often is generally speaking not a good choice, but
in the particular case of DSPAM, it would mainly show people the project
is well active, and would attract more users (developers??).
