FYI, I'm running 8.1 on my Duo 280c. The Apple System Installers are smarter
then they were, during the System 6.0.x era. They can detect which computer
you're running and suggest the proper components. I still switch over to
"Custom" to make sure that whatever is installed really needs to be there,
as even if the installers are smarter, they still install a few things that
are not really useful when in "Easy install" (like PowerPC
extensions/control panels when installing on a 68K).

But, beside my incompatibility problem with the Asante EN/SC extension and
my system, everything works fine so far. No system error, no crash, no
problem.
