Dear Ed:
It is helpful to know that your GV Modem/Ethernet PC Card works with
ethernet. When I attempt to use ethernet I always receive the same error
message after attempting to select alternate ethernet. "An error
occurred attempting to use Alternate Ethernet"
This did not occur before the G3320MHz upgrade and upgrading the GV
software.
It could be a softward problem. I have played a lot with my GV software
and am still not clear which extensions should be active to use ethernet
with the GV Card. Currently I have installed and active the following:
GV Platimum Pro Enabler 1.0.7
PC Macr Multifunction Update 1.0
Global Village PC Card 2.5.9c
GV Platimum Enabler 1.0.7
GV PC Card Ethernet 3.0.2
I also have toolbox and faxing extensions and other software.
I have difficulty figuring out from the Boca GV site what software should
be installed to use etnernet.
Would you mind sharing what GV software you have active when you use
ethernet? Also do you know is there are any issues with Open tp
extensions?
Currently the GV Modem/Ethernet PC Card is running on the 8.6 system.
