Because most of strain usually concentrated to small area, cables used are
so soft that they easily bend.
Well, I have used volcanic tape (When strained and warped molds to one clean
surface) or shrink-wrap. Tape is good but expensive. Shrink-wrap is cheaper.
Just put it far enough spread load to larger area, so that when bending
cable it makes larger bend instead of small tight bend.
In case of emergency a electrical tape will do the trick.
