I don't know about 'proper', but I'll do whatever the client wants ;-) When Zellers (a local Canadian chainstore) sends an 860 where the SDQ store distribution is totally changed, there is no choice but to apply the 860 to the original 850 and proceed. Many times it would be much easier to request a new PO, but you have to work with what you have. The client decides if they want to apply the 860 to the original PO. They just have to run a procedure and it will update the store breakdown, revise the quantities, add lines, etc...
