The older SteppIR controller can only handle up to 19200 bps. That speed must be manually configured in all three devices - the SteppIR controller, the computer and the P3 - and the SteppIR controller MUST be connected at the INput of the P3 (NOT to the K3) The connection between the P3 and the K3 will always be automatically reconfigured to 38400 bps (regardless of the manual configuration setting in the K3) so an older SteppIR controller cannot read the traffic at this speed.
