I got a few direct emails saying the same thing. I know that you can still purchase the CM500, it just seems to be a lot rarer than it once was. A lot of places like B&H show the Yamaha CM500 out of stock or no longer available. Even Yamaha USA shows the item out of stock. One Amazon seller lists it for $109.95 + $19.95 shipping and they have a poor delivery rating. Another Amazon seller has only 1 product review and it is not available with Prime.

Is the Yamaha CM500 still being manufactured? John KK9A Rick NK7I wrote: They're nothing special; you can dial in equalization just as well in the K3S. I bought the Heil with my K3 and quickly gave up on them. The Yamaha CM500 plugs into the rear (with bias) and the headphones are comfy for hours, without spending a lot (by comparison, you can get a few for the cost of one Heil). They block most of the noise in my shack. I keep a couple spares as the foam covers do wear out. If you need to block of lot of shack noise, there are other options, most are expensive.
