--- As I wrote my reply, I had not at first realized that there were two
programs I had been confusing. MailSmith and PowerMail. As I recently
downloaded and demoed MailSmith, I will leave my comments. I have not yet
downloaded Powermail but I will do that later tonight as I am back on
the 56K modem (sigh) and that is a long download.

I will also comment that I had understood that some Emailer fans liked
one better than the other...? But MailSmith seemed pretty nice also,
except for the points I mentioned. So... I just sent another "squeaky
wheel" email to Eudora's team, hoping that they might awaken from their
slumber and make Eudora AppleScript friendly (You can not currently
launch an AS from a Eudora filter)

Earlier comments:
I haven't yet realized the log as useful at all. Which is in no way a
slight to what you say about it. It may be a tool that I too could use. I
recently tried MailSmith and commented to the MS team that, 1) the spell
checker could be better both in ergonomics and in error catching.
(Emailer is still the best at catching my horrid spelling)

2) I really miss the Eudora feature where I can change my screen
backgrounds to a more pleasing pastel - or gray. Cuts back on the eye
strain over a days staring at emails.
