Norton Disk Doctor found a bad Quicken backup file, which I deleted. Ran it again, clean. Did Disk Warrior, clean, and successful rebuild. BTW, I've done this in the past, too, with similar results.
After I reported to the list, and after I had done the advanced rebuild which I reported, I noticed an errant "this message has been permanently deleted" file in one of my list folders. Rebuild (typical) was successful this morning also. >2nd: Increase the amount of RAM you have given to Emailer. If your mail >database starts to get too big, Emailer needs more RAM to work with it. I gave Emailer more memory (3500 increased to 5000). The mail database is 29.2 MB, the Index 5.2, which seems pretty small compared to some. I still have a folder which won't display messages unless I double click it to open the folder independently from the browser. Thanks for your response and help. David p.s. while typing this message, Emailer quit with a type 2 error. This, after refusing to file this message in my Emailer folder, or assign a priority. the message was "Can't complete this command because a read was attempted beyond the end of the file". Upon restarting, it just won't file the message. No error message reported.
