As far as I'm concerned, the easiest way to deal with this situation is to *Redirect* - to yourself - the mail you'd like to merge. Redirect allows you to re-send a message that you have received. But, in important ways, it works differently than Forwarding does. Forwarding grabs the information from the original message and includes it all in the body of a *new* message. Let's say you get a message from Griselda, and Forwrd it to Esmerelda. It will be completely obvious to Esmerelda that her copy of the message is just that - a copy - and that it came from you, and that it was mailed at a different time than the original. Redirecting takes the original message, adds a bit of information to it that indicates you had it for a while, but otherwise sends it on as if it originally came from Griselda. When it reaches Esmerelda's mailbox, it will be seen in the Browser as a message from Griselda, mailed at the time that she mailed it. If you Forward it, however, it will be seen in the browser as a message from you, sent at the time that you sent it. If you Redirect the messages you'd like to merge - by Redirecting them to yourself - your Browser information (and, for the most part, the message itself) will look like it would've if it had arrived there without your intervention. If you Forward it, the title is changed (by the addition of (Fwd:), the body information has the old header information added to it, and (most important, in my opinion) you lose the information about the original Sender, email address, and Sent Date in the Browser. IMHO, Redirecting is a much better solution. Roger PS In fact, I redirected *this* email (after I modified it a bit) because the list server bounced it back to me on my first attempt to send it. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
