Well Chris, I sort of knew that Mac's were more or less protected because hackers or spammers don't usually write viri for a Mac since Apple has a small share of the market but I did not know OS x was impervious. Are you saying a techie like yourself could not write a virus to infect Macs if you wanted to? In any case I was not sure so I went to the only experts I know. So I guess that after reading the majority of opinions here I will forego buying any AV software.
