OK, I did some playing around this weekend. I've started on the UI. I got my spouse to support me working on it one day per week. At this point, I suppose we should start a new list for the discussion of the project. Don, what resources were you offering when you wrote:

I would much rather have a privately run mailing list, than a yahoo group. I don't have the resources to run one myself right now, but I've been meaning to do it for a while. If no one else can volunteer their server/hosting, maybe we can do a paypal donation thing and I can set one up.
