Interesting. A friend and I drove to a house he was interesting in buying so that we could measure the 60 Hz magnetic fields (it is near some big power lines). While driving I switched on the equipment and was surprised to measure such a strong mag field from the dashboard. I can't remember the actual magnitude but it was high.
