Richard: I apologize if you felt that your previous answer was not what I wanted to hear, this is most certainly not the case. Granted, I can see that EN 60 825-2 would apply here. However, I'm used to invoking EN 60 825-2 from EN 60 950 as part of my defence for declaration to the LVD. But since I'm not testing to EN 60 950 for this passive product, I don't believe I can declare conformance to the LVD (or the R&TTE Directive). So what directive do I claim conformance to by testing to EN 60 825-2? I sincerely appreciate your and everyone's input. This board is great!
