Type tests for medical equipment, in accordance with the 3d ed of IEC60601-1, require much engineering judgment; which requires intimate knowledge of the product. The OP is probably the only engineer having both intimate knowledge of his product AND knowledge of compliance requirements. I have supplied detailed Type Test instructions for some of my employer's medical equipment customers that install our power supplies, but only after an in-depth analysis of their product, and careful review of the customer's specification. This is serious stuff, so I could not possibly pretend to offer specific advice on a product that I have never seen.
