When using the 7i43, emc2 does *not* make pulses on the parallel port. Instead it sends commands via the parallel port to the 7i43 (which *does* make the pulses). > What system handles pulse duration and direction hold time? They're read by emc2 at init time and sent to the hostmot2 driver, which sends them to the FPGA.
