I see, so the best bet to start for me is to look for a 7i43 solution if possible
I'm so sorry for asking these possibly dumb sounding questions, but it is quite hard to find info about this. I have a config that currently works fine for software stepping and I know the pin numbers that I need to let it all work. Luckily I only need 3 steppers with step/dir , 1 pwm output for laser power, 2 extra outputs for controlling laser on/off + something else like air assist + then a couple of inputs. So I suppose that I have then to look for firmware where you can have these outputs on the 7i43 and then using some kind of configuration in the emc ini file the mesa card will take over the step generation, right ? So 5i25 is easier from that point of view, but also > less flexible. > > Viesturs > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Virtualization & Cloud Management Using Capacity Planning > Cloud computing makes use of virtualization - but cloud computing > also focuses on allowing computing to be delivered as a service. > http://www.accelacomm.com/jaw/sfnl/114/51521223/ > _______________________________________________ > Emc-users mailing list > Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Virtualization & Cloud Management Using Capacity Planning Cloud computing makes use of virtualization - but cloud computing also focuses on allowing computing to be delivered as a service. http://www.accelacomm.com/jaw/sfnl/114/51521223/ _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
