I am happy that you can reproduce the problem, this is the first step to
fixing the bug. What I am seeing is Entourage adding a category for each of
the built in applications, there doesn't have to be any items in that
category. In fact if I do a sync, remove the conduit generated categories
and then immediately re-sync the conduit creates the categories again even
through nothing has changed.

This is way too much work ! The main problem is that I have a number of
contacts that I am not syncing to the Palm and don't want to lose them. I
also have all my mail locally and it is running about 200MB at the moment.
With the AppleScript I posted here earlier this week the problem isn't too
bad as all I do is run the script after each sync and do a small amount of
tidy up.

What I am going to do is create a new identity and try the slow sync from
the same Palm with Palm overwrites Entourage and tell you how that goes. I
have a feeling it might not work as I expect categories to be created for
each Palm application which would still give me three "Personal" categories
instead of one. I will try it later today and get back to you.

Thanks,
Nick
