OK, so I got curious and went ahead and did it !
Here is the exact set of steps I did:
1) Select "Switch Identity" from the File menu
2) Renamed the only identity to "Safe"
3) Created a new identity called "Nick Beadman" (the owner of the Palm) and
based it on Entourage defaults.
4) Opened the Conduit Settings and set all of the popups to "Handheld
Overwrites Entourage".
5) While holding down shift did a sync (in the log it mentions slow sync)
Well here are the categories that are now on in Entourage:
Business
Family
Financial
Friends
Healthcare
Holiday
Household
Immigration
Junk
Personal
Recreation
Travel
Work
which looks correct considering that Entourage starts with some categories
and that on my Palm I have the following categories in the Address List:
Business
Family
Financial
Healthcare
Household
Immigration
Personal
and these in the To Do List:
Business
Household
Personal
and these in the Memo Pad:
Business
Personal
Seems like you are correct and Entourage doesn't like Importing things from
Palm Desktop. What I would like to do now is try and work out how to get it
working again without having to delete everything and start again. What
would happen if I changed all of the items in the Entourage "Personal"
category to one of the ones created by the conduit ?
