I am confused, what do you mean when you say you moved the Identities "into
the place where Entourage expects it"? It should be in the Documents folder
(presumably where it was before you moved it).
I updated to 9.1, clean install, and did not move any of my documents. Works
fine.

So try moving the Identities to the Documents folder and see if that works.
Or perhaps I misunderstood what you had done...
