Not really, you didn't. The Documents folder is a "system-type" folder that
needs to be "blessed" by the current System file. It has a white-page icon
on it when it's blessed. You are using a Documents folder that was not
blessed by your current System -- being a folder from your old system, it's
lost its white-page icon and is not recognized by Entourage. What you should
have done was move the CONTENTS of your old Documents folder into the new
blessed one. Or else use Conflict Catcher to do the clean install merge - it
does it right.
This is how you can fix it:
Rename your present Documents folder to anything. Then go into Control
Panels--> General Controls. In "Documents" section, "When opening or saving
a document, take me to" and check
� Documents folder
Then restart your computer. You'll find a new blessed Documents folder on
your root. Move all your stuff from the renamed folder, including Microsoft
User Data folder, into the blessed Documents folder. Then you can go back to
General Controls and reset it how you like. Now you should be fine in
Entourage.
