Allen, there is no mention of OS X in that article. Thus it does NOT answer
my question. 

It was on this list that word went out not to use the Rebuild or Advanced
Rebuild. As there is not other news on the MS site regarding this issue, and
the fact that I lost my database to 4 failed Advanced Rebuilds, I remain
wary until I heard it direct from a programmer that it is ok to do. Your
other response to me is, I hope, the go-ahead that OS X users need to hear.
If it is OK to do the rebuilds, please amend that article to say so.
