Every time I tried to launch E'rage I'd crash so it was going to be gone forever. But then I tried E'rage into launching by making a new main user and removing the prefs so I could start as the main user. Then I was able to switch users. > Incidentally, creating a new identity is the way to go if you can't get the > old one fixed, and dragging the messages folder by folder is a good way to > transfer the messages. (As my other response will tell you, I did this days ago.) SIDENOTE: It's GREAT that we can share entire folders of emails this way. And for those who don't know, you can also drag individual or any group of selected messages. Yes, I saw that subfolders do not get copied. That is why I simplified my folder structure a lot. I'd never want anyone to go thru what I have. > That reminds me...I wrote a script a while back I forgot to post ANYWHERE! > It is called, Save Folders to Desktop. This script is a brilliant idea and solution. I highly recommend everyone have it handy. One thing I did as an error check, Allan... After dragging my folders to the desktop, I amended the name of the file like this: "Entourage734.mbox" Entourage being the name of the folder that was dragged out. The 734 being the # of messages in that folder. This way I knew that all messages were back in my new database. -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
