I didn't know earthlink supported SMTP AUTH.... anyway. I use SMTP AUTH for my work server from home with Entourage and 10.2 just fine. We use an Earthlink dialup from the road and I know that I cannot use my work SMTP server, even with SMTP AUTH because Earthlink blocks access to other smtp servers (at least that was the case as of a month ago).
Something is also a bit confusing: Are you using Earthlink's smtp server to send mail from your earthlink account or are using Earthlink's server to send non-earthlink mail, or vice versa? -Steve On 9/10/02 11:58 AM, "Jan Martel" wrote: > Is there anything that has to be done under 10.2 to make smtpauth work? > Several weeks ago, someone suggested that using smtpauth (this is Earthlink > if that makes any difference), would allow one to send mail from servers > other than the one owned by Earthlink.
