If, on > the other hand, the group is created by script It very much depends on the script. MY scripts always create a contact link, with a contact icon, if the group member is a contact using its default email address. Those will update just like dragging contacts in or auto-completing the address. Some other people's scripts just use the (name and ) email address showing the yellow "@" icon, and those won't update. (I make a specific exception when the user has manually entered a secondary, non-default, email address for a group member: in those cases I assume it's intentional and don't change it to a "contact" entry.) Just so you know. Scripting Entourage is very powerful, and lots of finesse is possible. Using the contact link, with contact icon, is actually undocumented - you have to know how to do it, or enjoy experimenting a lot, like I do. I think I have occasionally noticed the odd exception to this rule, although I have never figured out what may have caused teh exception, and I can't swear to it. Perhaps if Jan's is one of those excetions, we mqay be able to figure it out. -- Paul Berkowitz MVP Entourage Entourage FAQ Page: http://www.entourage.mvps.org/toc.html PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - 2001 or X.
