I just got the following error sending an email: > When trying to deliver your message, the mail server at filter.aaahawk.com > encountered problems with the following addresses: > > For <[address cut out]>, Site aaahawk.com said data: 501 Failure Naked LF > see http://netwinsite.com/surgemail/help/smtplf.htm > > For a more detailed explanation see > http://netwinsite.com/surgemail/deliver_failed.htm > > Reporting-MTA: dns; filter.aaahawk.com > > Final-Recipient: rfc822;[address cut out] Action: failed Status: 5.0.0 > Diagnostic-code smtp; Site aaahawk.com said data: 501 Failure Naked LF see > http://netwinsite.com/surgemail/help/smtplf.htm
The page they reference says that my email client is sending LFs without preceding CRs, and that this is a violation of some RFC. Has anyone seen this before? Is it fixable? I'd like my email to go through. =) TIA. - Bryan -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
