Sorry...what I was trying to say is that the group entry is probably linked to the index of the contact's email address (thanks for the correct terminology). For example, let's say I have a contact "Joe Shmoe" with one email address. I add him to a group and the group entry is, therefore, linked to email address index 1 of contact "Joe Shmoe". I then add a new email address to "Joe Shmoe" and make it the default. Since email address index 1 still exists, the group entry is still linked to it. If I then delete email address index 1, the previous index 2 address becomes index 1 and becomes the address that the group entry is linked to. I hope that explanation of what I was thinking was a little more clear.
