By the same token, I just came back to E-rage and found the triple pane (straight across) very strange-looking. I wanted to set the pane for above and below, but someone had strongly recommended the straight across triple pane view to me.
I took me less than 48 hours to really dig it, but I love it now. The old way now looks archaic to me. I love how I can see so much more of a message in the rightmost pane than I did before in my above and below arrangement. So giving it an extended try paid off.
