No current identity...have never launched Entourage before. No
database. No identity files of any kind. Still, I archived the MUD
folder and got the same result ... nothing.
A common cause of applications not starting are corrupt fonts.
Helvetica
Fractions in particular is known to cause problems, as is Times
Phonetic.
Don't just disable these fonts in Font Book, but physically remove
them from
your system and try your applications again.
I don't have those fonts on my machine.
Try deleting this file: ~/Library/Preferences/
com.microsoft.Entourage.plist
No such file: Entourage has never launched.
Check for duplicate daemons in startup items.
Ditto above...
Disable Schedules. Try holding down the shift key during launch to
prevent
startup schedules from firing.
Tried this already - no dice.
Doesn't inspire confidence in all those Word and Excel docs I depend
on...
