It's not my place to tell you how to manage your workflow, but this kind of
separation seems extreme. What you use identities for, I use categories. For
example I have my work contacts and my personal contacts living right next
to each other, and they never interfere with each other. Same with the
calendar. I suppose it would be a minor annoyance if I had a work contact
and a personal contact with similar names, but not so much that I'd give up
the convenience of having all my information at my fingertips.
