I mentioned that the Nikon was my second film scanner. My first was a
Minolta Dual Scan and it was terrible. They may have solved their
interface problems now but my problem was totally incorrect color.
Minolta blamed Adaptec and Adaptec blamed Minolta. Support was
non-existant. It took weeks to resolve with weekly changes in drivers,
some sent by mail and others downloaded. I did finally get good scans
with it, but nothing like the Nikon and consistancy was much better with
the Nikon. I have heard that others have had trouble with the interface
as well.
