Gary, When I switched to Canon last year this was one of the more difficult
areas I found I had to get used to - it is somewhat different to other
systems I was used to. I am quite comfortable with it now and wouldn't
change it if I could, I am sure you will get used to it also. It does mean
using M or P modes where you might not otherwise have expected to, but my
results have been good. Good luck with it.
