I've been wondering that if all the flash units in the world were
fired at once, would there even then be enough light? Even if there
was, in theory, the real result would probably be flare (backscatter)
from the atmosphere. Whet I took the eclipse series I made sure I
was well away from the "compact" brigade as I didn't want all those
built in flashes nearby.
I should add there was NO digital manipulation involved in presenting
that moon shot: none at all. It was a straight scan of a single slide
cropped to make to square.
