    I heard also you can print your own barcodes. But I still think the
whole idea is dumb. Imagine what the customer would think, you take out your
camera, some little piece of paper, then you put that little black doodad up
to the paper, scan it, then put it to the camera and push a button. Then you
proceed to take picture without thinking about anything? Hmmm, maybe I'm old
school, but that sucks!
    For me, each situation requires my thinking about it and setting the
camera the way I want it. And, it changes with the light, framing, etc of
the situation. If one could only program a set of custom functions with the
barcode, then I would say, hey that's great! However, I've settled on a set
of custom functions that I can live with all the time now. It might be nice
though if you want DOF settings, or focus lock with the aux control button,
or something else that's a hassle to do with custom functions.
