I think it will work, but in order to provider a greater isolation between
cameras I suggest to use four 1N4148 diodes (->|- symbol):
CH1-Body1 ------->|------RS-60T3-CH1-------|<-------CH1-Body2
CH2-Body1 ------->|------RS-60T3-CH2-------|<-------CH2-Body2
GND-Body1 ---------------RS-60T3-GND-------- -------GND-Body2
So I suggest cutting the RS cables obtaining the interruptor boxes and
connectors both with some cabling. And joining one interruptor box with the
two connectors using the above connections. (CH1 and CH2 relate to the AF
and Release wires).
The four diodes will isolate both bodies while the shutter is not triggered
and will guarantee that no current leaving one channel will enter the
equivalent channel in the other body.
A relay or optocoupler will give more isolation, off course, but I think
that this circuit gives quite good isolation for its simplicity.
Best regards
Vicente
