  I agree that proably EOS3 was more attractive to advanced amateurs when 30/Elan 7E 
didn't exist than now. Probably today I'd buy a 
30, not the 3 as I did one (aprox.) year ago. In any case I'm very pleased with it.

  But I don't think the EOS3 needs a technological update. Can it be replaced for 
marketing reasons? Maybe. Does anyone know how 
it's selling now?

  I think the reason there're EOS3 for sale are due to upgrades to 1v, since this one 
looks like to be a wonderful gun for professionals.
