Other thing to consider is the safety of the

That is a valid concern, I took some shot at a night go-kart race last year
with a 550EX, some of the drivers mentioned to me they were distracted by
the flash, I don't think I will be doing those shots at night anymore.
The last thing I want to do is cause a crash.
