Let it be noisy. As long as it does not introduce too much of invisible
vibration, I am happy. MLU is useful on tripod, but I am more worried about
hand-held shots blurring because of the mirror slap. Am I over-exaggerating?

|| My II never had very accurate metering. It was off in all modes
|| (except the green idiot mode, go figure) by 1/2 to 1 stop under;
|| I had it tested twice. My 7e has excellent metering in all modes.

I have heard this before. I can compensate with the manual film speed
setting for these idiot modes. But, if I need to do partial/centre-weighted,
does the camera still underexpose? I mean, if the camera is consistent in
its 1/2 stop underexposure, its fine. But if it shifts its behaviour in
different modes, I would have to do too much fiddling with the buttons.
