Dear fellow EOSsers,

It seems that my explanation of the vignetting mechanism hasn't been
sufficient to clear up the issue. Roughly my conclusion was as
follows:

If a filter blocks more than half of the light (one stop) in the
corners wide open, then vignetting in the corners will increase
    when you stop down.

If a filter blocks less than half of the light (one stop) in the
corners wide open, then vignetting will decrease when you stop
    down.

If you want to understand why, please read the analysis from last
monday (I can send copies on request), try to tell me where it's not
clear enough and I'll try to improve the explanation.

Regards,

Peter Wagemans
