I think my question wasn't clear. We both agree that taking a single shot is
more convenient. But I wasn't talking convenience. I was talking about the
resulting image. And I understand that physical limitations might make
stitching the *only* option. But I was curious about the capability of
stitching and so I constructed a hypothetical in which a single shot and
stitching were both possible. Since I've never used it, I don't know which
of my four options would obtain. If it turns out to be 1, great. If it turns
out to be 4, I wouldn't be upset with the stitching concept. I would have
just added to my storehouse of knowledge.
