Way back in the 70's when there was an energy "crisis" I knew a guy that
took aerial photos of buildings. They were Infrared photos that showed heat
leakage.
He bought a thing that was about the size of a beer can with mounting plates
on the 'top' and 'bottom' and a power connector that supplied some dc
voltage. The "beer can" had a gyroscope setup in a nitrogen atmosphere. It
took a while for the gyros to get up to speed but when they were you could
one handedly hand hold a 400mm lens.
I wonder how IS compares to that setup?
