I've used the 75-300IS and 28-135IS from small aircraft. Looking through the
viewfinder, the IS appeared to make a difference, and the pictures came out
fine, but I didn't take any pictures with IS off for comparison. It seems
likely to me that it helped, but then, it helps on the ground, too.
