How much are the 1 gig micro drives now? At www.newegg.com you can get 256meg CF cards for $90.00, they are the Mr Flash brand, some kinda generic name. I have two of their 128 cards and they work as well as the Viking and Delkin 128 meg cards I have. I just ordered a 256 from them....will probably order 2 more soon. Changing cards, what is the big deal? It is quicker than changing a roll of film! On RAW mode a 128 card holds about one roll of film images, on top jpg mode about 70-90 images depending on the scene and iso settings.
I guess I am just paranoid, but I'd have been shying away from the micro drives...all it takes is one lost job and the difference in cost of the cards is more than made up for. I look at like getting film souped at a pro lab vs Walgreens. There is a difference in price, but the pro lab is a lot less likely to scratch your film. As far as digital with the D-30 goes, I love it! I'd rather shoot this than film. The quality is great and the versatility is great also. I'd guess that at least 1/2 of my jobs are now shot on digital in place of film. -- Harrison McClary [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.mcclary.net On 10:05 AM Trieu, Ethan [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: >Or should I go for Compact Flash >cards (twice the price)...??? * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
