Well, I'm not Fuji, so I can't know. One possible reason is the price. Another
one could be availability. Does Nikon already have a 28-105 f/2.8? If so,
I suppose it will be more than twice the price of the Tamron. BTW, whats the
name of the Fuji digital SLR? Couldn't find one in the "digital cameras" product
range at the Fuji site. What lens mount do they use? Nikon?

Anyway, a Photodo rating of 2.4, especially when the graphs show a low
MTF in the *center* of the image, doesn't make me feel very comfortable
about the optical quality of a lens, while OTOH 3.9 for the EF 28-70/2.8L is
a pretty good rating for a fast zoom lens. And my practical experience with
it confirms that rating. If your side by side tests have shown the lenses
to be more or less equal, Photodo must have gotten a lemon amongst the Tamrons.
And a pretty extreme one at that.
