Thanks Peter, tried that - no go. By the way, I know the Canon literature syas "Autofocus not recommended" with the EX tubes, but should it work at all? Even with the lens on AF, the LCD is flashing "MF" and there is no sign of AF even trying to work. So all the connections are bad?
