The only time you have to worry about camera noise is when you're in a church taking pictures. Now the question is, are you really going to pay twice the price for a camera that makes less noise? The EOS-3 is indeed very noisy and the EOS-1V is 3dB quieter which means that the EOS-3 is twice as loud as the 1V. If you want to get the 1V, please get it for a better reason, the noise is not worth the money.
