IMHO it's a good idea to frame your shots with a little space at the edges 
when using print film. Most consumer labs crop quite a bit to allow for 
tolerances in positioning the neg in their fully automated printing process.
Doing a full frame print demands manual printing. 

OTOH, if you don't have to get prints of all pictures and can afford to pay
some more money per print, a good pro lab will show you how good a print
can really look. Giving *everything* to a pro lab is certainly quite expensive,
though.
