Hi John,

What a coincidence !  I noticed the very same thing yesterday. So far I
didn't find anything unusual in my results, but I would be interested to
know if the wobble does make a difference in sharpness. Otherwise I may
think of buying the old 28-105 back again.

Onderwerp: EOS Barrel wobble in 28-135 IS


Can someone tell me if ANY wobble or freeplay in the
front barrel assembly is acceptable in consumer zooms
such as the 28-135 IS? If I randomly orient my lens
vertically, horizontally, etc., I can feel the barrel
move a tiny amount.  I would assume this affects the
alignment of the lens elements.
